This painting is my take on bringing this vintage postcard into the 21st century. By adding bright paint and integrating it into the composition, I hope to bring a fresh take while maintaining the vintage feel of the postcard.
The original postcard is labeled "Entrance to US Veterans Hospital Fronting Gulf of Mexico, Gulfport, Mississippi." It was stamped and sent in February of 1942.
