This painting is my take on bringing this vintage postcard into the 21st century. By adding bright colors in acrylic paint using a palette knife, I hope to bring a fresh take while maintaining the vintage feel of the postcard.
The original postcard is labeled "The Host of the Coast" Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Postcard was sent and stamped in January of 1943.
